as well. Avast is free but you need to register, i.e. give them a valid email address. I have used AVG but found it conflicted with something else at that time. I have no recent usage knowledge of recent versions of AVG.

I think there are better Anti-virus software out there than Norton or McAfee. Do a search for reviews on the net, you get lots of opinions but you will get some sense of what's quick, good, and cheap (not necessarily having all three 8-).

You may also want to test run a few anti-trojan virus software as well.
