Keeping things cool on the road

I am concerned about leaving stuff in a hot car on a road trip. Clothes and the like will be fine. What about camera, laptop, vitamins/creams, etc? Can these things take the heat? You can keep vitamins/creams in a cooler, but not the electronics. There won’t be much shade in the south western states so I am particularly concerned for when I am in this region. I suppose just about anywhere parked in the sun can pose a problem. Any tips?
