If the local code requires and/or it can be demonstrated that the slab includes a vapor barrier (very likely in a house that new) then I'd think it would be very unlikely that radon could be an issue (although there are always gaps in the barrier for the plumbing, etc.). Are high radon levels endemic to the area? IIRC it's most common in areas with lots of granite.
Also, testing this time of year probably isn't very representative of winter when houses are closed tight for weeks at a time. Especially in towns like yours, with "real" winters ;-)
Congratulations on your impending purchase, it sounds like a nice house for you and your Saabs!
