If anyone out there was wondering, or perhaps scoffing or laughing at this little radio, well it's my 2 cents to say these units are quite impressive. Sound is crisp and clear, and LOUD if you want it ( 3 inch speaker ? ) ..pulls in stations seemingly from other planets, and even looks cool. What's really odd is that if you switch from internal to external wire antenna, the whole tuning range seems to change, meaning if your listening to a clear station on the internal, then switch the antenna to external, I can't seem to find the station I was listening to previously even though signal strength should be better. Anyone have technical insight on this? 100 dollars for a tiny radio does make one hesitate, but after shopping around and scrutinizing the crap out there for 50-60 or 70 bux, Im glad I went for the Model 1. Makes a great kitchen radio. Mono, stereo really not needed when your chopping veggies and boiling pasta water, but available in the Model 2.
