I picked up another nail in my front left tire. This was the second hole to be repaired and they were getting kinda worn so I decided to put 2 front tires on. The 2 in back are pretty good so I kept them for now. I went to the firestone shop where I bought the first set and he looks it up and says to me, "Ok, you want the same tires you got last time, the turanza lsh's, I have 2 in stock." I said yes, please put them on. I sit down to read my newspaper. An hour or more later he says there you go, please pay here. No problem. I looked at the bill and walked out. Upon looking at the car I see turanza el somethings on the front. I went back in and said "you put the wrong tires on the car". His response was, "these are the same tires, they are just the updated versions". I am putting his statements in quotes because I can remember his exact words.
Well I know I have a 30 trial period so I said ok, and went home to check it out online. Well believe me, they are not the same tire. Different construction, different compounds, and $20 more per tire for the LS tires.
You know it probably works 99 time out of 100. Now he says "Iwill have to get them, I'll have them this afternoon". So I looks like he does this all the time. Lies to people. And I really don't see why. This place does alot of business. seems to me he'd be better off taking 1 hour to do a job than 2 hours to do the same job.
Well thats not my concern. But I have better things to do than to sit in his waiting room while they fix his "mistake". And you know something, I am not coming back. And I am telling people I know not to go the Firestone on sunrise hwy in Lindenhurst, Long Island.
(By the way I am perfectly happy with the tires. Bridgestone Turanza lsh)
