We have federal and state, with some exceptions income tax (communists!), estate tax (more communism right out of "The Communist Manifesto"), and sales tax. We have a tax on phones that was passed to pay for the Spanish-American war!!!! It's still friggin' there! We have outrageous fuel taxes, cigarette taxes (which I would agree with except I would be a hypocrite), 'use' taxes (whatever that is). This is only a partial list of taxes we pay.
And, everything we buy has been taxed at every step of the way from commodity gathering, production and manufacturing, to sales. When you think about it, we're truly near 100% taxation. Think about it some more if you some of you don't see this.
Got to have taxes so we can build a bridge to nowhere in AK and an indoor jungle in IA (when the world's largest indoor jungle is down the road in Omaha).
