Last couple months Ive worked on saabs as a hobby to help out others because some people didn't know how to work on them. And I had 1 person tried to sue me because their engine blew up due to fact it was being test driven around by previous owner and current owner with only 2 1/2 qtrs of oil on a 94 vert. I told the current owner at the time not to sell it but he sold it anyway and i attempt to try to salvage engine by replacing front and rear main seal that were shot beyond shot. I didn't really have to pull the seals out they just fell out by hand:) but the bell housing on the auto trany in the other hand was caked in oil bout 1" of solid gum. Few days later we fired the car up and it had 4 bad rod bearing, worn out timing chain guide that was so worn the it basically broke in 1/2. Kinda amazing. I told the previous owner that the car's engine blew up and it was a big hush hush thing too. OH well. Then we got a new/used engine from a car that was a fire car which was another hush hush to cover up the dramatic loss. One thing i hated bout the business there was no organization by management and they never paid enough cause they were too cheap for their own good. Proably the next time I help someone I should start charging Full SAAB shop time and hrs. on site repairs. This is why you should never mix business and friendship cause it will cost ya dearly. Sometimes it just worth it.
