Would've strongly disagreed till last month Posted by ChuckD [Email] (#2127) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ChuckD) on Wed, 19 Oct 2005 22:57:31 In Reply to: UPS rant #8, TML [Profile/Gallery] , Wed, 19 Oct 2005 19:43:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
We've enjoyed flawless service to our home on LI for several years. Got a great relationship with the driver who knows to put the package in the garage in inclement weather, etc.
Last month we needed a package delivered to our upstate address. Not the first time, we'd received stuff there before. Long sordid story short, someone at UPS tried to second-guess the zipcode (as in, changed it from what the sender wrote) and tried to deliver to a town in yet a third zipcode thirty miles away...TWICE! I have it all captured on their online tracking log.
Despite several calls to the 1-800 number (there's no way to call the distribution center itself) and even the suggestion that if they'd punched my address into Google maps they'd see it precisely, they still did everything to try to blame someone else (the sender).
Do the other shippers have a website like this?
