If all cars have it, there's no point advertising it, unless you have really nothing else to say about the car (like 'this car comes with four wheels at no extra cost!').
If a car becomes airborne and lands on its roof, even inside a roll cage it's no surprise to me a 61 year old lady ends up with neck and back injuries. Without a roll cage she would have been crushed. Maybe she wasn't wearing a seat belt either.
Your son was very lucky. I hope he does wear his seatbelts nowadays.
