What is it called? When you watch the mechanic mount a tire in the shop, he dips a stiff wire with a rag in the end into a can of fluid and go over the inside edges of the tire wall before mounting the tire on the rim.
I don't know what it is but now I know it must be some kind of seal. Two tires on my 95 525i are leaking air around the edges, very slowly. They deflate in about a week. I dipped them in a big plastic cat litter box full of water to find that out.
What is it?
