the AC ? Ask that person/contractor and see if they have a custom fit cover for your unit. You could surf around and get a cover that way, just Google "ac cover" or something similar. The cover shouldn't cost much even a well made one. Yes, you could have a piece of tarp over the unit but a custom cover looks nice and it comes in different colors or just get a neutral color that would blend in.
Just make sure you remove the cover before you start your AC 8-).
