thing. I was thinking in terms of either a classic 900 or a 9000, and I was looking to spend about the same money. I live in west Michigan and I was probably looking at some of the same cars you are. What I ened up buying was a '98 900 SE five door (118,000) with a 5 speed and I bought it for the money I was looking to spend. While I prefer the classic 900 (I have a '93 convertible)they are hard to find. And I just couldn't find a 9000 either (I've owned four of them). Because the NG900's are less popular, they are a real bargain and there seem to be plenty of them. You could probably get a '96 or '97 (the newer the better) and they offer a lot of bang for the buck. They've gotten a bad rap, but most of their problems are solvable and the automatics are known to be bullet proof.
