I got the bleeder from eeuroparts a few days ago, and finally got to try it out today. I really was expecting the fluid to come shooting out of the bleeder nipples, but really it only dribbled out of the rear brakes, and came out at an all right flow from the front brakes. The bleeder did make the brakes more firm than when I bled without the tool last week, which is great cause now I think the car is a lot more safe.
Another note- the bleeder did not make the process totally drip free. You still have to remove the bleeder from the master cylinder reservoir, and it will drip all around there if youre not careful.
I also bled the clutch. Wow. That was the easiest clutch bleeding on a Saab ever. The stuff that came out of the clutch slave really looked like very old motor oil. I mean it looked exactly like used motor oil. It was that bad. So now the clutch is also a little more firm, and I put in the DOT4 fluid (I had DOT3 in previously, just found out thats the wrong type).
So I would highly recommend getting the bleeder. I just did a few high speed brake maneuvers on the local highway, and the car stops great. It doesnt have the sensitivty of a newer car, but if you really stop on it, it will stop the car very quickly. Bleeding brakes is just a pain in the ass, and for $40, it sure makes things simpler.
