He didnt contact me for 5 days after the auction, which isnt a real negative, its just that he required instant payment (it was buy-it-now) so I was hoping I would get any kind of contact cause $285 is not pocketchange. The auction description was only the following:

"This laptop runs great and has an extra battery with it. Has no problems just cleaning house so to speak."

So I called him just to make sure he got the payment, and to get an idea when he might ship it. He waffled for a minute, then admitted he had to order some parts for it. I told him the laptop I bought didn't have any issues. I wouldnt have paid the same amount had I known this, and furthermore I don't know how good he is at fixing computers. He then said he had four other computers and he could send me one of those, but I dont know the specs of those computers and Im under no obligation to get a DIFFERENT computer. And I just get a bad vibe when he was misleading in the first place in his auction description, not saying the laptop had problems. He wouldnt even tell me what was wrong with it.

So he offered to send me a different laptop, I said no, now he says he will only refund me when he re-sells the laptop.

I was just looking at Dells website and you can get a nice laptop for $500. I should have just gone that route...

I filed a paypal complaint so we will see what they think.
