My 1997 900 handled the cargo while my 9-3 SC did not Posted by Caarma [Email] (#592) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Caarma) on Mon, 30 Jan 2006 08:33:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So I bought a small kitchen table and showed up to pick it up with my 9-3 SC. The table didn't fit as it was too tall for the hatch area, and the legs were glued on. I said I'd return a couple of days later with my 1997 900, not being sure it would fit in there. But sure enough, the table fit fine. Then, since he was moving, I decided to buy his barbecue grill. That fit in there too and the hatch closed completely. I'm still amazed at the cargo capacity of the NG 900 and a little more dissapointed in the wagon configuration of the new 9-3's. To be fair though, I believe that part of the reason the load floor is higher on the 9-3 SC is because of the independent rear suspension which wasn't on the NG 900. If the new 9-3 was a hatch, the situation might be the same.
