The dealer I have used, Reinertsen Motors in Denville NJ, has loaners for anyone who wants one. You may have to wait two weeks to get one but you will get one. Yes, you heard it right, it doesn't matter whether you bought the car there, doesn't matter whether the car is under warranty, .....

BUT no, they DO charge dealer prices on parts and labor regardless of old, new, ...customers, so figure that one in as well.

I have brought an old 1992 9000S that I got somewhere else for new downpipe and exhaust and I asked for a loaner and they gave it to me, no question asked. Saab has lifetime warranty on the exhaust and I have got a whole new set from them during the years I owned the car and yes another loaner when they changed the exhaust for free other than labor.

I also brought my 1995 9K Aero that I bought from another dealer for some work a few times, they gave me a loaner each time when I asked for one. All these BEFORE I bought a new 2003 9-5 Aero from their sales department in 2003. Yes, I got a loaner when I had warranty work or maintainence work on the 9-5 as well 8-).

If the work takes more than one day, they would let you keep the loaner until the car is done.

I think for Saab dealers in North Jersey, they are one of the better ones.
