because our 29 year old son is autistic. He has some other health issues, so he isn't functioning as well as the young man in the CBS piece, but it still made us cry.
Steve Hartman does a great job at CBS News. He used to do a series called "everybody has a story" or something like that. The went to a place they picked from a dart throw on a US map, and selected someone at random from the local telephone book. A year or so ago, I met him in the Bismarck airport as he and his crew were headed home from a story they did about a high school basketball coach in Killdeer, North Dakota. Too bad there isn't more stuff like this on network tv instead of the junk that they usually show.
