They've got a bunch of very young guys who aren't really experienced working there. I got a good deal on some Nankang tires that they talked me into. I did get the free alignment but they were quick about it.
The car kept pulling to one side. I rotated the tires front/back and it kept doing it. I had them align the car again (for free) and it kept doing it. I rotated the tires left/right just to see and now it pulled to the the OTHER side.
So... I didn't go with a name brand and got tires with bad quality control. I was able to switch to another set of tires but had to pay list price.
The only other tires in my size were some Toyo performance all seasons and they were almost double what the Nankangs were. I hate them too. The Nankangs were at least smooth and grippy. The Toyos are rough, do not grip very well, and suffer from bump steer. They haven't worn much and they don't hydroplane but they don't grip either.
So it was not a great experience for me. I paid more than I would have for a good set of tires from TireRack and basically the same as I would have if I included installation. It was not Town-Fair tire's fault. I wonder if their tires are "seconds" though.
I will probably go back there again but be very sure about the specific tire before purchasing. It may take me multiple trips.
