I saw the first true sign of summer this morning while driving to the GM Tech Center, $3/gallon gas!
A Speedway Station (remember when they were a low price station?) had premium advertised for $3.05 per gallon. On opposing corners of the same intersection were a Mobil Station with premium at $2.85 and a Citgo Station with Mid-Grade priced the same as regular at $2.69.
Two hours later I passed the same stations. The Citgo now had their three fuel grades priced at $2.85, $2.95, and $2.99 per gallon.
I wish I had filled up with the Citgo Mid-Grade on the way to my meeting. Michigan apparently has the third highest average gasoline prices in the nation, right behind Hawaii and California! And with the "War of Words" now being raged in the media between the Petroleum companies and auto manufacturers, I imagine it will only get worse.
