So with the completion of an essay for a class called "Driving the Innovation Process", I have officially done all the work I need to get my Evening MBA, (focus in marketing) at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Commencement is a week from Friday. It took me 3 years and 9 months to complete while working full time including a job switch. My companies paid for most of it so I paid less than $15,000,but I figure I drove an extra 30,000 miles for classes and group meetings and I couldn't tell you how much class and study time I put in. My Saabs always got me there when necessary. I never thought an MBA was necessary, but I really have learned a lot.
Now I will start networking to look for a job that utilizes my new knowledge and the additional experience I have gained. I am interested in Product and/or Brand Management and I have 6+ years of marketing experience and 5+ years of engineering experience.
The best part is that I now have more time to spend with family and friends, partake in hobbies, take better care of myself, my cars, and my house.
