No kids of my own--I'd be the worst parent ever--but I'm loving auntie to my brother's two boys. James is 2 1/2. Last night we went to have dinner with them, and shortly after we got there, my brother borrowed my car to go for a beer run. This led me and James into a loopy conversation about your car, my car, daddy's car, why daddy took auntie's car, etc. Then we were in the backyard where he was playing in his own "car", one of those plastic things where they move by running their feet along the ground. This car like most of his toys is a hand me down from my sister-in-law's huge family, so it's seen better days. The front wheels kept going crooked and he wanted auntie to fix it. After fixing his "alignment" several times, I gave up and told him, "You know what you need? You need a Saab." And then I nearly died laughing as I watched James running around the yard in circles yelling "I need a Saab! I need a Saab!" Just keep saying that to your daddy for the next fourteen years, sweetie :)
