I recently purchased a new desktop. I will be switching over to Firefox and Thunderbird tomorrow. Before I make the move, I want to be sure it will work. I am running XP and in Outlook Express, when I load in the pop3 address, it goes away when I turn off the computer, and I have to reinstall the pop3's all over again. In it's place I get 127.0.0.1... Yes I am still using dial-up for $8 per month....any help?
OE>tools>accounts>mail>properties>servers>incoming mail> pop3 address...
then when I turn the computer off and restart it I get this:
OE>tools>accounts>mail>properties>servers>incoming mail>127.0.0.1 and my servers don't work..
the other strange thing that happened this morning.. the computer automatically dialed up the network at 9 am.. nothing is scheduled anytime.
If I recall, isn't that 127 number my computer's "address" ??
thanks for any help.
