just a couple of experiences with part ordering from site sponsors:
1. sobstory: jim is fantastic. i've ordered a few times from him now, and the service has been outstanding. i ordered a half-axle a few months ago. the one i received was defective; i tried a local source, which was also the wrong size. talked with jim, he offered to split the cost of overnighting a new one to me. he's also very knowledgeable (gave me some tips for a clutch install) and his prices are very good.
2. the saab site: well, this was going to be a jeer for their service. i placed an order the night of 6/12 on the internet. i realized i forgot something, so called first thing in the morning on 6/13. i was told my order had already shipped, so i had to place another order. fine, my mistake. got the tracking info, and realized the original order didn't actually ship until 6/20. called them up, and was told that it went through saab, and they had transmitted the info on 6/13, and it was then out of their control, blah blah blah. i was pissed because i paid extra shipping. they (initially) made no offer to refund the shipping difference. i was told that it would be taken into consideration next time i ordered. i stated that there wouldn't be a next time. he called me back while i was writing this though, and did credit me the shipping, so no harm done. still, leaves a bad taste in my mouth...
