Absolutely a load of conflicts. WMA is beautiful until iTunes is forceably loaded with the newest version (and only available) of QuickTime.
Doesn't matter if all sound files other than QT's are associated with WMA -- I'll get sound off the internet and nothing from within WMA.
Only fix is to remove both QT and iTunes and the latter hangs up the computer as if it refuses to be uninstalled.
I too, have disavowed all things Apple and iPod, including giving my nano and speakers away.
Not worth the hassle.
