We have very good experience w/ RCA indoor ANT1250 (amplified).
We are able to receive all the HDTV channels in the Philly's area (NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, WB, Fox,...). The antenna itself is sitting on the 2nd flr windows sil, pointing in the direction of the transmitters, 136 degrees.
Since we don't have cable/satellite, I connected the output of the antenna directly to the cable outlet on the wall (of course, I first disconnected in-house cable wire to the junction box on the sidewalk). That way the whole house could rec. the signal from this antenna.
We have two HDTVs--46" Hitachi + Samsung's tuner (1st flr) + 26" buit-in tuner (2nd flr). All of them receive VERY strong signal from all the tv stations.
I have been using this setup for more than 2 yrs. Snow and torential rain did not seem to effect the reception at all.
FYI,we are ~10-15 miles (crow-fly) from the antennae farm.
