I would think the miles would be a very relevant point for the lease company to know to be able to give the correct response to the lessee's question of the lease company. They didn't just call you out of the blue to ask you the mileage did they? I would imagine you contacted them for some response and me miles are often relevant for the correct response.
Anyway your buyout is on the lease as the residual value. There is a possibility with low miles of the car being worth more than the residual, but that doesn't happen often or hardly at all.
Your basic premise is correct, that if they are gonna' negotiate, and that's an unknown if, they yes lower mileage will drive up the price. That's only natural, lower mileage higher price.
