As we get closer to the big date in Lake George, I'd like to take a moment to remind everyone about the Friday afternoon Poker Run. The Vintage Saab Club of North America has designed a beautiful 45-mile jaunt through the upper Hudson River region of the Adirondack Mountains that is sure to bring smiles to drivers and passengers alike. The run is open to all year and model cars, vintage Saab owners are encouraged to allow additional passengers in their cars.
What is a Poker Run? It's a scenic drive with five scheduled stops.
At each stop you will receive a randomly selected playing card
enclosed in a sealed envelope. The exact location of each stop will
be listed on the tour direction sheet. At the end of the run your
envelopes are opened, revealing your poker hand. The person with the
best hand wins!
Entry will cost $10 per hand. Multiple hands are allowed. All
proceeds are to benefit the local "Double H Hole In The Woods Camp"
http://www.doublehranch.org/. Double H is part of "The Hole In The
Wall Gang", founded by Paul Newman to provide children with cancer
and other serious illnesses and conditions a camping experience of
the highest quality, while extending year-round support to their
families and health care providers. You can check them out at:
