is that similar to the stuff Shell Oil and others got sued for about 15 years ago? I forget the name, but the joints failed and caused leaks. Quest, that was one of the names, just came to me. It used one of two joint types, one a ring clamped onto the hose at a slip joint, the other some sort of UV light application. Seems both had issues, either the design was flawed or the installation was very critical. Pipes would burst or leak in the walls very messy. Very critical on pressure at the regulator, keep it low they told us to prevent leaks. Anyway, the place we bought into was later part of a class action suit and we all got replumbed with copper on the supply side.
Don't know if this is simlar or helps, just my history with the Quest Brand which was made by Shell Oil.
