Mixing brands of tires on a car? 4 possibilities

What do you think of mixing tire brands on a car? It's RWD, obviously not a Saab. One of the tires is unrepairable. The spare is a temporary skinny tire. The other tires are expensive (about $150) Michelin MXV 4 Plus, which are not-so-good touring (aka oldsters and bad driver's tires). Any opinions and reasons for what I should do?
Choice 1: Prolong the agony. Buy 1 of those lousy Michelin tires because the other 3 have lots of tread left. Note that buying even 1 of those pricey tires is expensive.
Choice 2: Throw away all 4 tires and buy what I want. Goodyear Eage F1 GS-D3 or similar tires are only slightly more expensive.
Choice 3: (OPINIONS REALLY WANTED FOR THIS IDEA) Buy 2 new tires of the brand and model that I want. Use the other 2 lousy tires for a while then replacing them with 2 tires of my preferred model.
Choice 4: Replace all 4 tires with my Saab tires which are Pirelli P6 4 Seasons. These are not the best but adequate and better than the Michelins. The only problem is that they are 10mm skinnier than the Michelins. That's not a big problem becuse they roll 822 times per mile compared with the larger Michelin's 810 (so the sizes are not that different)
