I fly every week Posted by Saabpilot [Email] (#134) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabpilot) on Fri, 22 Sep 2006 18:11:49 In Reply to: Flight entertainment options?, IanC [Profile/Gallery] , Fri, 22 Sep 2006 16:51:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Bose noise reduction headphones and an Ipod have made my flights so much more enjoyable. The headset is more important than the music in my opinion.
More importantly than anything, they make annoying passengers go away. You know, the businessman trying to impress the hot woman with his aeronautical knowlege, etc. About every 10 flights there seems to be one of those! Being a pilot it drives me nuts because 99.9999 percent of the time the guy is clueless.
At any rate, I'm digressing. A good noise reduction headset will reduce your fatigue and stress level immensly. Don't spend $50 and get a set from a department store. Get the real thing. You won't regret it.
I bought an Ipod Nano for myself for Xmas last year and it has been great. I use it on nearly every airline flight and I really do fly 3 or more weeks out of the month for my job. I like the fact that it is so small and light, in fact I keep it inside my Bose headset case. I also have the cigarette lighter adapter and FM modulator so I can play it through my rental car's radio if I wish.
