99 EMS wheel on C900 hubs... possible?

So I am in love with the soccer ball wheels, but I will be installing the C900 hubs (along with the rest of the suspension) onto my EMS (i have been told this is pretty much bolt on, but that isn't what this thread is about).
My question is this: Can I take the wheels to a machine shop and have them drill out a second set of holes? Perhaps slot the original holes? (Sounds sketchy.) I'm curious if anyone has done either of these before.
TIA,
Luke Pighetti
PS: Are these soccer ball rims worth anything? I have 8 that are in excellent condition. (In case I cannot use them anymore.)
