KEY FOBS -- Can a Saab faab work on a Ford?

OK, before you roll you eyes (again), hear me out...
My wife just bought a Ford wagon. Hates the keyless fob. Four tiny buttons, can't poke 'em with gloves on, too easy to poke the "alert" button, etc. Meanwhile, the fob for my 2000 Saab is great. Buttons on the round edge where you can press them with gloved hands. Easy to feel for the right button.
Question is... is there any way to make a Saab fob work with a Ford keyless entry? Or... is there an aftermarket "universal" fob out there that can be made to work with various brands of autos?
