Any experience with Baldwin Oil Filters? Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sat, 4 Nov 2006 05:57:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It is getting increasingly difficult to buy quality oil filters in my local area, other than Mobil-1 units at $11 a pop! I like to use the "tall boy" filter on my 9-5 2.3l, and the "open" filter for the wife's 2.0l 9-3SC is also very rare.
I just found a web site where I can buy Baldwin filters of each style at under $4.50 each as a full case purchase. (Since I drive ~27,000 miles per year in the 9-5 and change oil/filters at 5,000 mile intervals, even a 12 unit case has a finite life for me.) Single unit purchase cost is around $6.50 which puts them in the same retail price range as most other quality branded filters. Buying a full case effectively gives me 4 flters for free!
Anyone with experience, good or bad? Thanks.
