I have used the Semperit SportGrips for the past two.. winters. I have had no complaints, other than they tend to spin easily when accelerating from a stop on wet pavement, expecially when rubber stop bars or cross walks are placed on the pavement.
Snow and ice traction has been fine. I have put 20,000 miles on my set and they are now worn to 6/32-inch tread depth; i.e. replacement time for snow tires. These tires (P195/65HR15) are quieter than my summer performance tires (P225/50WR16). They exhibit none of the squirmy feeling I got from my previous Nokian Hakka Q's when driving on grooved concrete at 75+mph.
I too am looking for new winter tires. Considering the Continental TS810 and Pirelli Sottozero in addition to a second set of the SportGrips.
