OK guys I have lived with this Saab 9000CSE for about a month and a half now. It's my work car, and I have a 94 Mustang GT that I drive on my days off. I ahve to say both are nice cars, but are darn different.

The Saab is a nice car for long drives. I drive 50 miles each way of pretty twisty two lane black top. This car is comfortable, and the creature comforts of the cabin are well appreciated. The car has a nice connected feel to the driving, and corners quite nicely. Very few input adjustments are needed ina corner. And no body roll. And the car is reasonably quick within it's limits. Mine is the 2.3L 16V non turbo with a 5 speed.

The Mustang does not corner as well as the Saab. I have driven it down the same road that I take to work, and it requires alot of correction in corners. It feels nervous in general. Although I have the stock 16 inch tires on it at the moment, it fares much better with 245 45 17's that I have run on them. You don't sit as upright as in the Saab, it sort of wraps around you. But when you put the hammer down, there is no comparison. You have a 50 mile roll on at the freeway on ramp? No prblem mon. Top of 1st gear is 40mph, top of 2nd is 75, top of 3rd is 110, and I reached 143 at 4800 in 4th.

So it's differnt horses for different courses. But the Saab sure is nice to drive on a daily basis.

Regards
Mister Pig
