Not sure what you mean by "what size thingie" but I had 69 staples running from knee to groin. Staples are gone now and the incision is healing well except for a seroma that developed about half way down the incision. It has to be kept open with a saline soaked gauze plug and compression wrapped so it'll heal from the inside out. I should be well past the pain at this point but still have a way to go till the hole closes - it's like a sizable puncture wound. It makes driving difficult but I am able to drive on short hops - to doctor appointments mainly. There's light at the end of the tunnel, though, and my leg isn't aching with fatigue after walking now.

I live between the 405 and Van Nuys Airport south of Sherman Way... are you close by?
