That reminds me of the answer from the noted physicist Richard Feynman, as to whether swimmers would be faster with shaved or hairy legs. He said to shave one leg and put them in a very large pool to see if they swim in circles.

If your gait looks symmetrical in bare feet, you can hop with equal spring with each foot, and you don't get foot pain, I certainly can't think it would anything serious. Of course, nothing beats a face to face evaluation. Maybe there is Achilles tightness on the right, so that you go up on your toes earlier in each gait cycle? Do your toes stick upwards at rest?
