Pocketability is the key. Beyond that you need a bag. Do you carry a bag most of the times? For internet in your pocket, there's not many choices other than the Pocket PC. Smartphones tend to have smaller screen than most Pocket PC Phones and don't have a touch screen while PPC Phones do. And with a good software the touch screen can make all the difference for web browsing. On my PPC Phone an addon softerware called Pocket Internet Explorer(PIE) Plus increased useability of the original PIE by many folds to say the least; and now I don't hesitate to whip out my PPC Phone to browse internet. One of the main features of PIE Plus is the screen drag. Combined with the PIE-friendly formatting (less horizontal scroll) it really makes browsing any website least painful. You should try a drag screen enabled PPC phone or PPC.
