My father had passed away earlier in the year, and she was in denial about the mice that kept peeking from behind the stove. I got 10 traps of the conventional spring loaded and baited with peanut butter.
With the traps set, I sat down for a bowl of chili she had left for me. As I ate I kept hearing the snap, snap of traps and my appetite was ruined. By the time I finished the chili all 10 traps were sprung, and the remaining mice had started eating the trapped mice. Gross!
After a week or so the traps no longer were full, and the cleanup of the camping gear and clothes in the basement began. Gross again! My mom now has the exterminator put poison in the attic and hidden recesses around the house. She really hates emptying traps...
