Need Roadside Assitance plan Posted by ChuckD [Email] (#2127) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ChuckD) on Tue, 29 May 2007 08:56:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Anyone have any thoughts on roadside assistance programs?
Both our Saabs are out of warranty and we're looking for some coverage when on the road.
My first thought was AAA but it appears they have some questionable lobbying interests. Answers.com has some interesting commentary on them:

No doubt they've done a lot over the years to improve the driving experience, but their opposition of clean air initiatives concerns me. And all we really need is some reassurance if we break down somewhere; AAA offers a ton of other bells and whistles I'm not sure we need.
So I see references to something called the 'Better World Club' that claims to want to be a competitor to AAA and do so with an environmental conscience. But sadly their website's non-functional right now. Is that a portend to their roadside service? I'd hate for my wife to break down somewhere and be told someone would be out to help, but their battery's dead right now, or something.
Anyone have any rants and/or raves they'd be willing to share?
C.
