Does the tire dealer / mechanic you go to who uses the Hunter RF machine charge a premium vs standard balance?
My recent tire purchase was from such a shop, $15 per tire for the RF, which I declined.
This seems to be the worst balancing job I've encountered, including several remounts of rotated (side to side) tires.
I can understand the need to support $$ equipment.
However it also seems to create a conflict of interest, ie mine, where the incentive to do a quality balance job without the extra$$ would be reduced.
Also I had some seriously over torqued lugs on my alloys, requiring my floor jack handle as breaker bar. I'm worried I may have some bent wheels.
Curious as to the policy you have encountered.
I'll probably request the RF for the fronts, I've paid for front end align that couldn't be completed due to frozen adjusters, now replaced. I'm bringing my torque wrench ...
