OT: Windows XP and Boot Camp

I bought a MacBook and I have installed my copy of Windows XP Professional using Boot Camp. It is from my old Dell. Windows XP says that I have 30 days to enter the key but it won't accept the key that I have for my copy of Windows. Any idea's what is going on? I have a copy of Windows XP for Home with a different key. Can I uninstall Professionala and try again with the home version? Thanks.
