ABS Light/Odometer Problem

The ABS/TCS/Parking Brake lights are on on the display console of my 2001 Saab 9-3. In addition, the odometer does not work when the lights are on (the speedometer does, however). The issue started as an intermittent problem where the lights would come on and the odometer would stop, but then the lights would go off and the odometer would work. At one point, after going through a puddle, the lights that had been on, turned off and everthing seemed to be okay for a while, but not anymore - the lights are on all the time. I thought it might be a bad connection, but no one (an independent mechanic and a dealer) has been able to figure out the problem. The dealer indicated that it could be extremely expensive to diagnose and said that the car would operate properly despite the lights. Any suggestions on what I might be able to do to repair the problem are welcome. Thanks.
