It was the face mask violations and such, made by LSU, that were disregarded that concerned me the most. The Buckeyes payed their penalties and played. LSU did not get caught, for reasons still unexplained. I guarantee the Tigers did not make the first foul in the third quarter when they finally received a penalty.
OSU payed the price when the linebacker missed the punt & hit the punter's leg. He was obviously going for the ball & missed, By contrast, when Boeckman was hit while trying to pass, the linebacker was clearly going to hit him in the head. Look at the tapes if you missed that one. The ref's didn't call it, but instead changed their tune when the box review to determine the placement of the ball also showed that infraction.
Yeah, BCS is a farce. How did LSU get into the championship game in the first place? IMHO, Georgia or Kansas was more deserving of that.
