Prices, like water, will find their own level. The drop in the dollar was bound to happen given the sorts of trade deficits we've been seeing -not to mention the growing national debt.
On the bright side, it means more work for U.S. manufacturing worker because their wages have reduce along with the dollar. European and Asian companies are increasingly seeing that their lower cost of manufacturing doesn't translate to lower consumer prices when you factor in the cost of shipment for both raw materials and finished goods.
It's probably a good time to have investments in gold, or foreign currencies.
I'm thinking I chose the right time to buy a new Saab. For those sitting on the fence, there's still some left over '07s to be had at reduced prices.
