I was on the 9000 board without any luck, so I'm appealing to the mass.
Symptoms. ACC 2 only sends out heat when set to HI position, any other setting only blows cool air with no changes to temp. Doesn't matter if it is on AUTO or manual settings.
Corrective Measures. I've removed and cleaned the cabin air sensor. It was dusty, but the fan works fine with no noise. Still no change. I had to replace the vents themselves because someone had broken the adjustment knobs off, so while I was there, I looked at the temperature control motor from the top with the dash top removed. When I set the ACC to HI, the lever on the TCM moved all the way to one side. When I set the ACC to 82 or lower, the lever moved all the way to the other side. I tried it several times with the same results. The linkage and cable moved freely through the fire wall.
Questions:
1. Is it possible that the cabin sensor could still be bad if it is cleaned and the fan works properly? Should I take it apart and clean the rear wire coils also?
2. If the cabin sensor is working properly and the lever to the TCM is moving only its full range from HI to the next temp. setting down, am I to assume at this point that it is indeed the ACC unit?
3. If it is the ACC unit, does anyone know where I can find one that has the REAR air conditioning setting without having to pay $1200 at the dealer? I tried ebay (no rear AC) and http://www.goldwingsabb ($350.00)
