Asphalt is a lot softer than concrete. Using high pressure may destroy the top surface leaving it very rough. Most commercial quality asphalt seal-coat products are either asphalt based or coal tar based (the coal tar products being resistant to motor oil and gasoline), but home owner grade seal-coat products "may" be water based. A high pressure gun might strip last year's work right off your driveway.
A low pressure setting should be fine.
