Unless you absolutely have to, i.e to access some factory-supplied software upgrade or similar, I would avoid dealers once the car is out of warranty. The dealers in the north suburbs of Chicago were charging $125 a few years ago (last time I checked), it's probably more now. Dealers love XX,000 mile service packages, which in addition to regular parts replacement at inflated prices, affords them the opportunity to discover other emergencies ("while we were under the car, we found .....").
I highly recommend Peterson Automotive in Skokie, 1-847-675-6540 for work on Swedish cars (yes, both religions), specializing in SAABs. The owners Chuck and Borhan ran the service department at Field's SAAB before it closed and have been operating this shop since. For things I can't/won't do myself (i.e. a 9000 heater core last winter), they have never let me down. I have referred many people in my family as well, they are all happy with the service they received.
