No paper manuals for the 9-3 or 9-5... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Mon, 19 May 2008 03:34:22 In Reply to: Manuals, Ken Mckee, Sun, 18 May 2008 04:54:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I don't own a 900, but those manuals may be available. State Of Nine (http://www.stateofnine.com) sells a number of service manuals.
Haynes does make a paper manual for the 9-5 with the 2.3 litre engine, but I see you have the V6.
I purchased electronic copies of the Service Manuals (called the WIS or Workshop Information System) for my 2000 9-5 and 2006 9-3 from Schiff European Automotive Literature. These are not available from Saab in the US.
It is routinely reported that these manuals can be downloaded for free from Torrent(?) sites on the Web. I have never done that but I did download a new EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog) from a share site where another Saab owner had posted it for temporary sharing.
E-bay auctions can be good sources too, both US and UK, but be forewarned. Some unscrupulous sellers will try to sell you an EPC (with ~$20 price new) as a WIS (~$100 price new).
