I didn't pull the lens. Just the whole turn signal assembly. There's one screw on top and then it slides out forward VERY easily. I don't think you can even access the bulbs without removing them anyway. Trust me, it was well worth taking them out. I think they just peel because they're cheap bulbs. Nothing to do with the sun or the DRL's. If you have had the bulbs in there for a while I wouldn't be complaining. Think of it as a safety feature. You have to replace the bulbs because they're so damn ugly looking before they burn out and leave you with no turn signal. Haha, how's that for glass is half full?
